On Sunday 22nd April, A mixture of 17 eager powerlifters, oly lifters and bodybuilders spent the day with Rhyss Keane learning the finer points of the Back Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift.
Rhyss is an elite level Australian powerlifter with a 1000kg total. He has compete internationally on numerous occasions, his knowledge and training methods are widely sought out through his powerlifting team appropriately named 'Doom Squad Powerlifting'. Rhyss also owns his own gym on the Central Coast NSW, 'Pale Horse Powerlifting' which has held numerous powerlifting competitions since it's birth a few years ago.
The workshop was a completely interactive workshop with majority of participants testing their strength in either lift (or all 3) to see what the could achieve under the direct guidance of Rhyss. It was extremely informative, including set up, lifting cues, tips and tricks, the how's and why's of what Rhyss does in training for himself, his practical clients and those online.
We at The Strength Den thank Rhyss for coming down and presenting this workshop. We look forward to hosting him again in the future!
Thanks to all participants on the day, this strong community is what The Strength Den is all about!
