February 24th, 2018. The Strength Den had 4 competitors represent the gym at the WRPF Summer classic 3 lift. Here are their results:
On 26th May 2018 The Move Strong open was hosted by Powerlifting Australia, in conjunction with Raw Strength Tas (Matt McKay), at Move Strong Gym in Devonport. TSD was well represented by 5 lifters, 2 novice lifters and 3 amateurs. Here are their results:
Saturday July 7th Crossfit Agema held the second round of Strongman Tasmania series 2018, TSD was represented by 3 lifters, 2 novice strongmen and a past pro.
On Saturday 15th December Slaughterhouse Gym Launceston hosted the WRPF Down Under Classic at Slaughterhouse Hobart. This was a push/pull comp meaning Bench and Deadlift combined total or bench only or deadlift only. TSD had the largest representation of any gym I have ever seen at a powerlifting competition, we had 14 lifters across a variety of divisions, with great success!
On the 3rd of November, Strongman Tasmania hosted Round 3 of the Tasmanian Strongman series. The even included: Car yoke, 20m set weight Stone ladder for time, climbing weights
On Saturday the 18th of August, Ryan Summers and Nick Baldock held a free (to TSD members and all NON MEMBERS) workshop on the 3 main movements. The purpose of this workshop was to teach the participants safe movement and to help them identify unsafe movement when performing compound movements.
On Sunday 22nd April, A mixture of 17 eager powerlifters, oly lifters and bodybuilders spent the day with Rhyss Keane learning the finer points of the Back Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift.
